The FAQs and only the FAQs ma'am.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is it scary?
Yes. This isn't a theme park ride. The whole purpose is to scare you. We have searched long and hard for the 23 most terrifying room ideas so that you can get your adrenaline fix.

What is it, anyway?
Haunted Hunting Lodge and Maze is a classic walk-through haunted house. Will I be touched?
Yes you will be touched, but no one is going to grab you. This is an interactive Haunted House.  However, most contact will be incidental and non-confrontational.

Is this appropriate for children?
Haunted Hunting Lodge and Maze is geared towards teens, young adults and adults ; it is not a kid-style haunted house! HOWEVER - only you know how bold your children are.  You will be asked upon entry at the door what your preference is to the "scare level".  We offer "whimpy"  "scare me" and "full blown".  Be careful on what you ask for!!

Is there a long wait?

Not generally - we allow groups of no larger than 6.  The preferred size of the group is 4.  Groups are released into the Haunt approximately every 10-15 minutes.

Will I be able to leave the haunted house if it is too scary?
Yes, but there are no refunds.
Can my group get a special ticket price?
Yes please e-mail us at northstarresort@yahoo.com for group information.  Group discounts will only be given on groups of 15 or more.

Is this handicapped accessible?
Unfortunately, neither the Haunt nor the Maze are handicap accessible. There are just too many uneven surfaces, narrow hallways and unusual twists and turns to make it possible. Are there stairs?
Very few, but there are some

Are there any other limitations that I should be aware of before I puchase a ticket?
Yes. The Haunt is not recommended for people with back or heart problems, pregnant women, those prone to seizures, anyone with an affliction exacerbated by anxiety or fear, or those with mobility problems. Further, there are uneven surfaces, exposed roots inthe maze and dark hallways during part of the tour. You should also know that STROBE LIGHTS are used in the Haunt. There is fog. It's also dark in there, just so you know. There are loud noises, too. It's supposed to SCARE you--it's a haunted house! Finally, management has the right to refuse entrance to persons who touch the actors, are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or who are unruly or violent. No refunds or exchanges will be given.Anything else I should know?
Yes. The Haunt is an interactive experience. You will be walking through the Haunt - there are uneven surfaces, exposed tree roots in the maze, slippery surfaces and varying ceiling heights in some areas, so remember to wear sensible shoes. There is no coat check.

How many people can go on a tour together?
A maximum of six (6) - 4 is preferred for the ultimate Haunt experience . No exceptions.

How long does it take to go through?
That depends on when you can't take it anymore. This Haunt encompasses not only a Haunted Hunting Lodge with 10 rooms, but also the Maze.  Your Haunt experience (depending on how fast you are!) should be approximately 30 minutes.

Is there a place to buy a drink or a snack at the venue?
No - we tried it the last two years and it didn't work, so we aren't bothering this year.

Can I use my credit card at the box office?
No.
Is there an ATM at the venue?
No. Are there restrooms?
Yes.

I lost my: scarf, jacket, sweater, cell phone, notebook, wallet, purse, necklace, bracelet, glasses. Can I go back in and find it?
Sorry, we CANNOT look for lost items when the The Haunt is running. If you lose something while you're in the Haunt, report it to the box office right away. The attendant will keep your name and contact information and we will look for your property at closing that night. You'll be contacted the next day and, if we find your item, you can come pick up your property at the box office on the next performance day. You can call the North Star Resort at 989-826-3278 to see if your item has been found. The North Star Resort and/or the Haunted Hunting Lodge and Maze are not responsible for loss or damage of personal property.
